FIFA has launched the registration process for volunteers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted across 16 cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The organization aims to recruit a record 65,000 unpaid volunteers to support tournament operations over the six-week event featuring 48 national teams. Volunteers will be required to complete nine shifts of six to eight hours each and must have proficiency in English. In addition to volunteer recruitment, FIFA has begun selling individual tickets for matches held in Mexico, with prices ranging from approximately 30,000 to 130,000 Mexican pesos for VIP hospitality zones. The tournament is expected to generate over $7.8 billion in advertising spending in Mexico. The World Cup is scheduled to start on June 11, 2026.
