The National Action Party (PAN) has called for the creation of a commission to investigate Arturo Ávila, the spokesperson for Morena in the Chamber of Deputies, over alleged involvement in a corruption network, influence peddling, and rigged contracts. PAN legislators also accused Ávila of failing to meet obligations with Banco del Bienestar. Ávila has denied these accusations, dismissing claims linking him to drug trafficking, corruption, illicit enrichment, and nepotism. Meanwhile, Andrés Manuel López Beltrán, secretary of organization for Morena and son of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, issued a statement clarifying his recent trip to Tokyo, Japan. López Beltrán denied allegations of using private flights or staying in luxury hotels during the trip, which he said was funded with his own resources and taken as a vacation after exhausting work periods. He also accused his political adversaries of orchestrating a campaign of espionage, harassment, and political lynching by sending spies to photograph and harass him. López Beltrán described the campaign as fueled by hatred, classism, and slander, and emphasized that his hotel expenses were approximately 7,500 pesos per day.
