Two Israeli human rights organizations, B'Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights Israel, have publicly accused Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, marking the first time major Israeli voices have leveled such a charge against the state. This accusation comes amid ongoing conflict and has been strongly denied by Israeli authorities. The groups warn that the alleged genocidal actions could extend to the West Bank. The claims have drawn attention internationally, with other rights organizations such as Amnesty International and notable Israeli figures, including award-winning author David Grossman, also describing Israel's military campaign in Gaza as genocide. Additionally, reports indicate that Israel archives 88% of complaints related to war crimes or military abuses in Gaza, raising concerns about impunity. A May report by CAGE International criticized certain organizations for allegedly attempting to legitimize Israel's policies described as racist, apartheid, and genocidal.
This comes after CAGE International released a report in May accusing the organisation and the Campaign Against Antisemitism of failing to comply with the commission’s code of conduct by trying "to legitimise Israel’s racist, apartheid and genocidal policies"
