Fire at Javad Al-Aemmeh Dock in Parsian County Destroys Up to 15 Vessels; Unit 75 Fire at Abadan Refinery Controlled Without Impact

A large fire broke out on June 12, 2025, at the Javad Al-Aemmeh fishing dock in Parsian County, Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, along the Persian Gulf. Initial reports indicated that over 10 fishing vessels caught fire, with some sources later reporting the number of affected commercial ships rising to 15. The blaze continued to spread among the vessels, and efforts to contain it were ongoing at the time of reporting. Separately, on July 19, 2025, a fire occurred at Unit 75 of Iran's Abadan oil refinery in the southwest of the country. State media reported that the fire was brought under control without impacting refinery operations.
