They warned that this escalation would worsen the humanitarian crisis, endanger the lives of hostages, increase casualties, and cause the forced displacement of approximately one million Palestinians. The ministers also stated that intensifying the military offensive and occupying Gaza City would pose a serious obstacle to achieving a two-state solution. Subsequently, foreign ministers from 27 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, and Japan, issued a joint statement highlighting the humanitarian situation in Gaza, describing it as a crisis akin to famine and emphasizing the severity of the conditions faced by the population.
