The Gaza Strip continues to experience a severe humanitarian crisis marked by widespread famine and malnutrition amid ongoing Israeli military attacks. Since the start of the conflict, at least 212 Palestinians have died from starvation and malnutrition, including 98 children, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. In the past 24 hours alone, 11 new deaths due to malnutrition were reported. Concurrently, Israeli military operations have resulted in numerous casualties among Palestinians seeking aid. Since dawn on August 9, at least 51 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, including 38 individuals waiting for humanitarian assistance. Over the previous days, casualty figures from Israeli attacks have fluctuated, with reports of 20 to 47 Palestinians killed daily, many of whom were aid seekers. Medical sources indicate hundreds of injuries related to these attacks. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has reportedly been unable to deliver food, medicine, or other essentials into Gaza for over 150 days, exacerbating the humanitarian situation. The ongoing blockade and military operations have contributed to the rapid spread of starvation and the increasing death toll, with parents desperately trying to protect their children amid the deepening crisis.
