The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire amid ongoing conflict and blockade. Reports indicate starvation is widespread, with a medical staffer from Doctors Without Borders (MSF) describing the scale of destruction and desperation as unprecedented in nine years of experience. A Guardian investigation over approximately 50 days revealed a pattern of Israeli military gunfire targeting Palestinians near food distribution points managed by the US and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). This has resulted in multiple casualties among aid seekers. Health conditions have deteriorated, with one in three pregnancies classified as high-risk and a tenfold increase in stillbirths compared to pre-war statistics. Israeli forces have also conducted airstrikes in various locations including Khan Younis and Al-Tuffah neighborhood, causing injuries and fatalities among displaced Palestinians. Despite these challenges, humanitarian aid continues to enter Gaza through multiple channels. In the past two weeks, 10 UAE convoys comprising 214 trucks carrying over 4,565 tons of aid crossed via the Rafah crossing. Additional aid includes a Kuwaiti plane delivering 10 tons of medical supplies to Al-Arish airport and Jordanian forces conducting airdrops of 93 tons of food and humanitarian supplies with broad international participation. However, reports highlight issues of looting and security chaos around aid distribution, attributed to Israeli-backed militias, which have impeded effective delivery to many families. Meanwhile, Yemeni military media reported that 92 vessels bypassed the blockade on Israeli ports in early August, allegedly aiding Israel amid Gaza’s starvation. The humanitarian crisis continues to draw international attention, with calls to end the blockade and starvation policies imposed on Gaza.
