Since August 17, 2025, the Gaza Strip has experienced intense and continuous Israeli military operations, including airstrikes, artillery shelling, and drone attacks targeting multiple areas such as Khan Yunis, Gaza City neighborhoods (Al-Sabra, Al-Zaytoun, Al-Shati, Al-Amal), Jabalia al-Balad, Al-Mawasi, and refugee camps like Al-Nuseirat and Al-Shati. These operations have resulted in a high number of Palestinian casualties. Medical sources report that over 58 Palestinians were killed within a 24-hour period by Israeli forces, including at least 38 aid seekers and multiple children. Entire families have been killed, including a family from the Al-Da'or clan in Al-Shati refugee camp and another family in a displacement tent west of Gaza City. Israeli forces have also targeted civilians seeking aid near locations such as Wadi Gaza and Zikim. Bombardments have damaged residential buildings, displacement tents, and infrastructure, with reports of booby-trapped devices detonated by Israeli forces. The ongoing strikes have caused widespread casualties and destruction across northern, central, and southern Gaza, with continuous shelling and airstrikes reported in densely populated neighborhoods. Palestinian medical sources and hospitals have documented the casualties amid escalating violence and discussions within Israeli military circles about plans to occupy Gaza.
