Israeli occupation forces have intensified airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, resulting in substantial Palestinian casualties and widespread destruction. Since August 10, 2025, multiple air raids have targeted northern and southern Khan Younis, Gaza City neighborhoods including Al-Zaytoun and Tal al-Hawa, as well as central Gaza locations such as Deir al-Balah and Al-Nuseirat refugee camp. These strikes have killed at least 89 Palestinians within 24 hours, including civilians queuing for food and displaced families in tents. Notably, an airstrike on a tent shelter belonging to the Abu Hanideq family in southwestern Gaza City killed seven Palestinians, including five children. Additional casualties include three Palestinians killed south of Al-Zaytoun and three more after bombing displaced families' tents in Al-Mawasi, Khan Yunis. Israeli forces have also issued bombing threats to a school sheltering displaced Palestinians in Al-Zaytoun. The attacks have continued despite international outcry over the deaths of six journalists in Gaza the previous day. The bombardments have caused extensive damage to residential buildings and infrastructure, with reports of artillery shelling and helicopter gunfire accompanying the air raids.
