The Israeli Chief of Staff, speaking from the border area, emphasized that the country will not allow southern Syria to become a stronghold for terrorism. He reiterated Israel's commitment to independently protecting the border population and settlements, without relying on external parties. The Chief of Staff also declared that there will be no tolerance for disturbances along the border fence with Syria. Additionally, Israeli authorities indicated that they will prevent the emergence of a military power in Syria similar to that under the Assad regime.
