Since the beginning of the conflict in Gaza in 2023, at least 115 Palestinians have died from starvation and malnutrition, including 83 children. In the past 72 hours alone, 21 children have died due to hunger, according to reports from Gaza hospitals. The ongoing Israeli siege and obstruction of humanitarian aid have exacerbated the crisis, leading to a sharp increase in deaths from severe malnutrition. Médecins Sans Frontières has reported that one-quarter of children under five in Gaza are undernourished. Additionally, waterborne diseases have surged by nearly 150 percent amid worsening conditions. Medical sources in Gaza confirmed nine new deaths from starvation and malnutrition in the last 24 hours, raising the total fatalities to 122, with 83 being children. Authorities have also warned that approximately 70,000 children suffer from clinical malnutrition in the enclave.
