Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has affirmed that the decision to monopolize arms exclusively under state control has been finalized and is irreversible. He emphasized that decisions regarding war and peace fall under the authority of Lebanon's Council of Ministers. President Aoun reiterated that normalization of relations with Israel is not part of Lebanon's current foreign policy agenda. While expressing openness to maintaining a peaceful state with Israel, which continues to occupy parts of southern Lebanon, he ruled out any steps toward formal normalization. Aoun also stressed the importance of unity among Lebanese factions and cooperation to protect the country from external conspiracies.
