The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) convened an emergency meeting of foreign ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to address the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister called on the international community to immediately end Israeli actions described as crimes of occupation, urged the delivery of essential aid to Gaza residents, and rejected Israeli settlement projects in Palestinian territories. The OIC's final statement condemned Israel's plans to occupy Gaza fully, labeled Israeli actions in Gaza and West Bank settlements as war crimes, and called for a UN Security Council session on the aggression. Qatar, acting as a mediator, reported that Israel has not responded to a ceasefire proposal endorsed by Hamas and largely aligned with Israeli demands, accusing Israel of delaying the deal. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty confirmed that Egyptian-Qatari mediation efforts are hindered by Israeli intransigence and obstruction. Egypt also called for Israel's full withdrawal from southern Lebanon, an end to violations of Lebanese sovereignty, and urged international support for Lebanon's reconstruction. Egypt rejects military solutions in Gaza and is working toward a 60-day ceasefire agreement to establish a political horizon for resolving the Gaza crisis.
