The Los Angeles Angels extended their mastery of their crosstown rivals, edging the Los Angeles Dodgers 7–6 in 10 innings in Anaheim to stay unbeaten against them this season. Jo Adell delivered the decisive walk-off single, capping a comeback that ran the Angels’ 2025 record versus the Dodgers to 5-0. Shohei Ohtani, now in Dodger blue, appeared to flip the script in the top of the ninth with his 43rd homer of the year, a solo shot that put the Dodgers briefly ahead 6-5. Angels reliever Ben Casparius, however, stranded the bases loaded to keep the deficit at one, and the Angels pushed the game to extras before Adell’s game-ending hit. The result handed the Dodgers their third consecutive defeat and left them level in the National League West with the San Diego Padres. The Angels, meanwhile, tightened their grip on an American League wild-card berth as they continue to capitalize on late-inning resilience against their Southern California rivals.
