The Oakland Athletics selected Florida State University left-hander Jamie Arnold with the 11th overall pick in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft on Sunday. Arnold, the highest FSU player taken since 2008 and the program’s first pitcher drafted in the opening round since Luke Weaver in 2014, carries an assigned slot value of roughly $5.99 million. The Tampa native earned First-Team All-ACC honors in each of the past two seasons and was a consensus All-American in 2025 after posting a 2.98 ERA for the second straight year.
