The Los Angeles Dodgers ended a seven-game skid with a 2–1 victory over the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park on Saturday, improving to 57-39 and preserving their lead in the National League West. Shohei Ohtani, making his fifth start since resuming two-way duties, delivered his longest outing of the season, throwing three scoreless innings on 36 pitches. The 31-year-old right-hander touched 99.9 mph, allowed one hit and one walk, struck out four and stretched his shutout streak to eight consecutive innings. Emmet Sheehan followed with 4⅓ innings of one-run relief before Alex Vesia and Tanner Scott closed the door. Offensively, Michael Conforto collected three hits and scored both Dodgers runs, supplying just enough support to secure the club’s first win since 5 July.
