Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes, who will start for the National League in Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star Game, commanded attention before taking the mound by appearing on the red carpet outside Truist Park with girlfriend Olivia “Livvy” Dunne. Cameras captured the 23-year-old right-hander kneeling to re-lace Dunne’s white lace-up heels, a gesture that swiftly circulated across league and social-media channels. Dunne, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and former LSU gymnast, paired the shoes with a navy Silvia Tcherassi dress, while Skenes wore a grey David Alan suit and aviator sunglasses. Skenes enters his second consecutive All-Star start with a 2.01 ERA and 131 strikeouts, leading the National League in several pitching categories despite the Pirates’ sub-.500 record. First pitch for the midsummer classic is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
