France on Wednesday received Alan G., 28, and Albinou D., 38, after their extradition from Marrakech. Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin said the two men, both from Évreux, will be brought before an investigating judge in Paris and placed under formal investigation. The pair are suspected of playing key roles in the 14 May 2024 ambush at the Incarville motorway toll, where an armed commando freed drug trafficker Mohamed Amra, known as “la Mouche,” and fatally shot two prison officers escorting him. Alan G. is believed to have taken part directly in the assault, while Albinou D. is considered an organiser. Moroccan police arrested the suspects in Marrakech on 24 February 2025, two days after Amra himself was captured in Bucharest. Their transfer closes nearly six months of judicial cooperation between Rabat and Paris as French prosecutors seek to identify the full network behind the deadly escape.
