Lionsgate has released a series of character posters for “The Long Walk,” its forthcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s dystopian novel. The studio also confirmed that the film will be promoted with a Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con on 25 July, featuring cast members Mark Hamill, Charlie Plummer, David Jonsson, Tut Nyuot and Garrett Wareing alongside producer Roy Lee and screenwriter J.T. Mollner. Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film is scheduled for a U.S. theatrical debut on 12 September 2025. The ensemble cast includes Cooper Hoffman, Judy Greer and Roman Griffin Davis. Set in an authoritarian future America, the story follows 100 teenagers forced to maintain a four-mile-per-hour pace until only one survives, winning a wish for anything they desire. “The Long Walk” joins a growing slate of King adaptations currently in production.
