Ryan Reynolds has fuelled speculation that his Deadpool character will cross over into Marvel Studios’ upcoming Avengers pictures after posting an image online that merged the Avengers logo with Deadpool’s signature red ‘A’. The cryptic post, accompanied by the line “Don’t do that. Don’t give me hope” from Avengers: Endgame, has been widely interpreted as a hint that the Merc with a Mouth could appear in Avengers: Doomsday, slated for November 2026, or its follow-up Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel has not confirmed any casting changes since revealing an initial 27-strong roster for Doomsday in March but said at the time that “there’s always room for more.” Separately, actor Max Minghella is in final negotiations to join DC Studios’ Clayface, a horror-driven spin on the Batman villain directed by James Watkins. The mid-$40-million production is expected to start filming in the UK this autumn and open on 11 September 2026. Minghella would play a Gotham City detective romantically linked to the scientist whose experiments transform the title character.
