Sony Pictures has begun principal photography on “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” the fourth solo outing for Tom Holland’s web-slinger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Night shoots started on Aug. 1, and on-set images show military vehicles bearing the logo of the Inner Demons crime syndicate, hinting at the screen debut of their leader, Mr. Negative. To mark the start of production, Sony released a brief teaser confirming a North American theatrical release on July 31, 2026. The footage offers a first glimpse of Holland’s updated costume, distinguished by prominent raised webbing reminiscent of earlier cinematic iterations of the character played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.
