Country singer Pat Green will headline a live-streamed benefit concert Wednesday evening after losing four members of his family in the July 4 floods that devastated the Texas Hill Country. The disaster has claimed more than 130 lives and left 101 people missing, according to Governor Greg Abbott. The event, billed as “Pat Green & Friends: Texas Flood Relief Livestream,” will be staged without an audience at Globe Life Field in Arlington at 6:30 p.m. Central Time. It is being produced in partnership with the Texas Rangers and REV Entertainment and will be streamed free on YouTube and Givebutter, where viewers can donate in real time. Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Dierks Bentley, the Eli Young Band and other acts are scheduled to perform. All proceeds will be routed through The Pat Green Foundation to Kerr County Relief, TEXSAR and the Do It For Durrett Foundation, which are supporting search-and-rescue operations and long-term recovery efforts. Green’s brother John Burgess, sister-in-law Julia and their two sons were swept away while camping along the Guadalupe River. The singer said the concert is intended to convert personal grief into aid for thousands of families now rebuilding after the state’s deadliest flooding in decades.
