Central and West Texas, particularly the Concho Valley and Hill Country regions, are experiencing a severe flash flood threat due to slow-moving storms that have dropped between 5 to 8 inches of rain overnight. Flash flood warnings remain in effect for multiple counties including Lampasas, Mills, San Saba, Comanche, Hamilton, Kimble, Mason, McCulloch, Menard, Williamson, and Burnet. The Lampasas River at Adamsville has risen rapidly with 4 to 6 inches of rain recorded and additional rainfall expected. Eastern San Saba County has received over 6 inches of rain, causing the Colorado River at Bend to rise by 12 feet around 3 a.m. CDT. A flash flood emergency has been declared for Colorado Bend State Park and surrounding areas due to life-threatening flooding. Rainfall continues with ongoing risks of flash flooding, particularly in flood-prone areas and regions such as Cleo, Hext, and Voca. Authorities have issued warnings extending into the morning hours, with some warnings active until 10 a.m. CDT.
