The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued multiple Special Marine Warnings across various coastal and offshore waters in the United States from July 3 to July 8, 2025. In the Northeast, warnings cover areas including Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island Sound, Block Island Sound, Cape Cod Bay, Nantucket Sound, and coastal waters from Provincetown to Chatham and Nantucket, Massachusetts, with advisories extending into the evening hours. In the Mid-Atlantic region, warnings include Delaware Bay waters from East Point, New Jersey to Slaughter Beach, Delaware, as well as coastal waters from Sandy Hook to Manasquan Inlet, New Jersey, and out to 40 nautical miles offshore. In Florida, the NWS Miami and Key West offices have issued warnings for coastal and offshore waters including Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef, Biscayne Bay, Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach, Lake Okeechobee, the Straits of Florida from the west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal, the Gulf of America from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee, and Florida Bay including Barnes Sound, Blackwater Sound, and Buttonwood Sound. These warnings cover distances ranging from 20 to 60 nautical miles offshore and extend to depths measured in fathoms in some areas. The advisories are issued in both English and Spanish and specify expiration times ranging from late morning to evening EDT. Mariners and residents in these regions are advised to remain vigilant and heed the warnings until the specified expiration times.
