The Chicago Bulls said they will retire Derrick Rose’s No. 1 jersey on Jan. 24, 2026, when the team hosts the Boston Celtics at the United Center. Rose, the top pick in the 2008 NBA Draft and the league’s 2011 Most Valuable Player, spent eight seasons in Chicago and remains the youngest player ever to win the MVP award. His number will join those of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and other franchise greats in the arena rafters.
