Kai Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, said her grandfather’s encouragement on the golf course has been central to her rapid improvement as she prepares to join the University of Miami’s women’s golf team this autumn. In an interview broadcast on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” on 15 July, she recalled being urged by him to “keep on fighting and keep on practicing,” adding that the pair have shared a life-long routine of rounds together at family-owned courses. Trump also disclosed that she has signed a name-image-and-likeness agreement with Accelerator, a sugar-free energy-drink brand, as she transitions to collegiate competition. The NIL deal follows her commitment last August to play for the Hurricanes and highlights growing commercial opportunities for elite junior golfers entering the NCAA ranks.
