The University of Oregon has secured a verbal commitment from Jalen Lott, a four-star, two-way standout from Panther Creek High School in Frisco, Texas. Lott, listed at 6-foot and 176 pounds, is rated No. 49 overall and the No. 5 athlete nationally in the 247Sports Composite for the 2026 recruiting class. Lott chose the Ducks over offers from USC, Texas and LSU. As a junior last season he caught 85 passes for 1,111 yards and 16 touchdowns, while adding 18 rushing attempts for 106 yards and four scores. He also competes in the high jump and long jump, underscoring the athletic profile that attracted head coach Dan Lanning’s staff. The commitment is Oregon’s 14th of the cycle and lifts the program’s 2026 class to No. 9 in the 247Sports team rankings, continuing the Ducks’ recent success in tapping Texas for elite talent.
