The University of Washington has secured a commitment from Brian Bonner Jr., a four-star running back from Valencia High School in Southern California, bolstering its 2026 recruiting class. The 6-foot-0.5-inch, 185-pound Bonner is rated the No. 6 or No. 7 running back nationally and the No. 105 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings. He becomes the Huskies’ 18th pledge for the cycle and their second-highest-ranked recruit behind five-star offensive lineman Kodi Greene. Bonner chose Washington over a slate of Power Five offers, naming UCLA, Penn State and Nebraska as his other finalists. Recruiting analyst Greg Biggins described Bonner as “a speed back who can hit the home run from anywhere on the field,” noting his track background and ability to reach top speed within a few strides. The commitment continues Washington’s recent run of high-profile additions as the program prepares for its future in the Big Ten.
