The Federal Aviation Administration imposed a ground stop on departures at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on 18 July after an aircraft became disabled on a runway, prompting emergency procedures. The FAA lifted the restriction within roughly 30 minutes after the aircraft was removed and the runway was cleared. No further operational limitations were announced.
