Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears is expected to miss several weeks after sustaining a high-ankle sprain in Saturday’s 29–7 preseason defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head coach Brian Callahan told reporters on Sunday. Spears, 24, left the game in the second quarter after his ankle was rolled up on a tackle. The third-year back had three carries for minus-1 yard before departing. In 2024 he contributed 312 rushing yards and four touchdowns and added 30 catches for 224 yards and a score in 12 games. With Spears sidelined, Callahan said the club will turn to Julius Chestnut and rookie Kalel Mullings to support starter Tony Pollard through the remainder of the preseason.
