The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted continued heavy rain and thunderstorms across the country through Thursday, with alerts issued for rivers Chenab, Sutlej, Ravi, and their tributaries in Punjab. Additionally, Section 144 has been imposed in Rawalpindi for seven days as a precautionary measure. On the economic front, Pakistan's stock market reached its highest level in history, sugar prices have declined in Karachi, and electricity prices are expected to drop further. Prime Minister Shehbaz also chaired a review meeting on proposed reforms at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
