Despite the inclement weather, the annual Amarnath Yatra in Jammu & Kashmir is proceeding. Authorities said a cloudburst-triggered two-hour suspension on the Baltal route early Wednesday was lifted, and the pilgrimage resumed without major incident. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah confirmed the trek will continue until 9 August and expressed confidence in higher turnout; about 240,000 devotees have already reached the Himalayan shrine.
