Tempers flared after Sunday’s Grant Park 165 when Joey Logano confronted Ross Chastain over a pair of late-race collisions that helped trigger a multi-car incident. With 12 laps remaining, the two drivers first made contact in Turn 1. Moments later in Turn 2, Chastain’s Chevrolet appeared to hit Logano’s Ford again, sending Logano into Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and scattering cars behind them. Logano sought out Chastain on pit road once the checkered flag fell, delivering an expletive-filled rebuke and accusing the Trackhouse Racing driver of wrecking him “from four back.” Chastain listened but offered little public comment. NASCAR officials did not immediately indicate whether the incident would be reviewed for potential penalties.

Here is the set of incidents that led to the post-race conversation between Joey Logano and Ross Chastain. Both were involved in the Turn 1 skirmish with 12 laps to go, and then in Turn 2, it looked like Chastain sent Logano for a ride into Stenhouse. #NASCAR https://t.co/RUnmOeywnF
