Tony Kanaan, associated with the team, stated that Siegel would be reevaluated by the IndyCar medical team in Indianapolis on the Thursday following the incident to determine his readiness for the upcoming Toronto race. The team planned to select a potential substitute driver for the Toronto event within 24 hours of the decision, with Linus Lundqvist named as the standby driver. On July 17, 2025, Siegel was medically cleared to race and was en route to Toronto, while Lundqvist remained as the backup driver.
