Russia’s Energy Ministry said the country produced 211 million tons of crude in the first five months of 2025, a 3.5% decline from the same period a year earlier. Natural-gas output in the January–May period was about 230 billion cubic meters, roughly 3% lower than a year ago, according to the ministry’s preliminary data.
