Ukraine announced that it has received the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers from Russia, most of whom died on the front lines and some in captivity. This exchange was part of the humanitarian mechanisms agreed upon in the Istanbul agreements between Moscow and Kiev. In return, Ukraine handed over 19 bodies of Russian soldiers to Russia. Separately, a hacker group claimed to have breached the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff database, allegedly revealing that Ukraine has suffered 1.7 million servicemen killed or missing since the start of the conflict, a figure that far exceeds previously reported numbers. The leaked data reportedly includes photos, IDs, death certificates, and dog tags.
