Trump Says Ukraine War Should End Quickly, Calls Country a Buffer

Former U.S. president Donald Trump said he wants to bring the conflict in Ukraine to a swift conclusion, declaring that he "doesn't want to waste time" and "just wants to end it." In remarks made on Tuesday, Trump described Ukraine as a strategic "buffer" between Russia and the rest of Europe and argued that maintaining a "warm relationship" with Russian President Vladimir Putin would be beneficial. He also rejected suggestions that he had telephoned Putin in front of European leaders.
