Al Ahli lifted the Saudi Super Cup after edging Al Nassr 5–3 in a penalty shootout at Hong Kong Stadium, following a 2–2 draw in regulation time. Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy denied Abdullah Al-Khaibari’s effort, allowing Galeno to convert the decisive kick and hand the Jeddah club its second Super Cup crown. Cristiano Ronaldo had earlier marked his 100th goal for Al Nassr with a first-half penalty, becoming the first player to reach a century for four different clubs—Real Madrid (450), Manchester United (145), Juventus (101) and Al Nassr—along with 138 for Portugal. Marcelo Brozović restored Al Nassr’s lead late on, but Roger Ibáñez headed an 89th-minute equaliser to force the shootout, leaving the 40-year-old Portuguese forward still searching for a first trophy with the Riyadh side. Al Nassr had reached Saturday’s final by defeating Saudi league holders Al Ittihad 2–1 despite playing more than an hour with 10 men, a match that drew over 30,000 spectators to the same Hong Kong venue. Ronaldo set up compatriot João Félix for the winner in that semi-final, underscoring the commercial appeal of Saudi football’s expanding international showcase.
