Arsenal Football Club has completed the signing of Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard from Brentford FC ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season. The 31-year-old Denmark international, who was Brentford's captain and contracted until June 2027, agreed to personal terms with Arsenal and has undergone medical examinations. The transfer fee is reported to be an initial £10 million with up to £2 million in add-ons, although some sources mention figures up to £15 million or approximately €11 million. Norgaard is viewed as an experienced, Premier League-ready defensive midfielder, expected to provide cover amid potential departures of Arsenal midfielders Thomas Partey and Jorginho. The deal was facilitated by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, and Norgaard will wear the number 16 shirt at Arsenal. The club has officially announced the signing, marking it as their third acquisition of the summer transfer window. Norgaard expressed excitement about joining Arsenal and fulfilling his ambition to play in the Champions League.
