FIFA on Monday unveiled the official team of the tournament for the 2025 Club World Cup, a day after Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3–0 in the final at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, to claim the first title under the event’s expanded 32-team format. The Best XI includes four Chelsea players—midfielder Cole Palmer, full-back Marc Cucurella, playmaker Enzo Fernández and forward Pedro Neto—alongside three from runners-up PSG (Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos and Vitinha). Completing the side are Fluminense duo Thiago Silva and winger Jhon Arias, Real Madrid striker Gonzalo García, the tournament’s leading scorer, and Al Hilal goalkeeper Yassine “Bono” Bounou. Palmer, whose brace decided the final, was voted player of the tournament. With four South Americans in the line-up, the selection highlights the region’s impact; Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti said the campaigns of Fluminense, Botafogo, Flamengo and Palmeiras showed they can compete with Europe’s elite.
