
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been voted the Professional Footballers’ Association Men’s Player of the Year for the 2024/25 season, becoming the first footballer to receive the honour three times. Salah, 32, registered 34 goals in all competitions—including 29 in the Premier League—and supplied 19 assists as Liverpool reclaimed the league title. Arsenal’s Mariona Caldentey claimed the women’s award in her first season in England after scoring 19 goals and spearheading the club’s run to the Women’s Champions League crown. Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, meanwhile, was named Men’s Young Player of the Year following a breakthrough campaign that featured eight Premier League goals, 10 assists, a Champions League hat-trick and a senior England debut. The PFA also released its Teams of the Year. Liverpool dominate the Premier League XI with four selections, joined by three Arsenal players, two from Nottingham Forest and one from Newcastle United. On the women’s side, Champions League winners Arsenal place four players in the Super League XI, ahead of three from Manchester United, two from Manchester City and two from domestic champions Chelsea.
