The new iPhone build, numbered 23A5308g, refines the controversial “Liquid Glass” interface and adds a Classic Mode Switching toggle in the Camera app, a redesigned AirDrop icon and quicker Control Center animations. macOS Tahoe replaces the long-standing “Macintosh HD” hard-drive graphic with a solid-state-drive icon. Code found in iOS 26 beta 5 references an Apple Watch asset at 422 × 514 pixels, implying the upcoming Apple Watch Ultra 3 could offer a higher-resolution display than the current Ultra 2’s 410 × 502 pixels. No hardware was announced, but the discovery suggests slimmer bezels or a marginally larger screen are in testing. Alongside the operating-system updates, Apple released Xcode 26 beta 5 with two download options: a 2.61 GB Universal build for both Intel and Apple silicon Macs and a slimmer 2.05 GB version optimised solely for Apple silicon. The move advances Apple’s previously stated plan to end Intel support after macOS Tahoe. Separately, Apple Music for Android entered beta testing for version 5.0.0. The update brings iOS 26-style pill-shaped controls, a new ‘Pin Music to Your Library’ feature, lyrics translation and in-app Replay statistics, though the full Liquid Glass redesign remains exclusive to Apple hardware. Apple typically ships final releases of its major operating systems in September, leaving developers roughly six weeks to test the latest builds before the software launches to the public.
