Audio-AI specialist ElevenLabs has introduced 11ai, a voice-first personal assistant designed to manage everyday tasks through natural conversation. The company said the service combines speech recognition, text generation and retrieval-augmented generation to let users issue voice or text instructions and receive context-aware responses in real time. 11ai connects to workplace applications through ElevenLabs’ Model Context Protocol, enabling users to add calendar items to Notion, research prospects with Perplexity, file bug reports in Linear or start chats in Slack without leaving the assistant. Developers can build additional integrations on their own MCP servers. The product was unveiled late Tuesday and is being offered free for “the next couple of weeks” ahead of a broader commercial rollout, according to ElevenLabs. The launch escalates competition with incumbents such as Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa as technology companies race to embed more capable generative-AI agents in consumer devices.
