GitHub has launched GitHub Copilot, an AI-powered coding agent embedded directly into GitHub and Visual Studio Code. This agent can autonomously analyze code, configure environments, and complete development tasks such as refactoring, bug fixing, feature addition, and documentation improvements within a secure sandbox. The Copilot agent aims to enhance productivity by managing complex, multi-step tasks with deeper project understanding and more autonomous AI collaboration. Users have demonstrated the agent's ability to build working web applications and handle open-source project issues without manual coding or setup. Meanwhile, Microsoft Copilot Studio, used by 230,000 organizations including 90% of the Fortune 500, integrates with AI agents like GitHub Copilot to boost productivity further. Other AI development agents, such as Jules by Google DeepMind, also multitask across codebases to help developers clear backlogs and focus on higher-level work. Additionally, tools like Linear for Agents enable AI to take ownership of real work, including specifications, code, and reviews, allowing seamless collaboration between human teams and AI agents.

WOAH! Very impressive results with my first GitHub Copilot Coding Agent experience. I've tried it with my WriteableBitmapEx open-source project, since I'm lacking time since a quite a while to fix logged issues myself, so I saw the opportunity to try the Copilot Agent. I https://t.co/tzDCJIdteD
