Krea has announced the launch of Krea Chat, a new chat interface powered by DeepSeek technology. This tool integrates all Krea features into a single platform, allowing users to perform tasks such as generating images and videos directly within the chat interface. The feature is expected to roll out soon. Separately, DeepSeek R1 and V3 have been integrated into Windsurf, hosted on Western servers, with tool calling enabled. This integration allows DeepSeek to be used in coding agents for the first time, such as Cascade, which supports R1. Cascade's use of DeepSeek R1 is initially offered at half the cost, with plans to rapidly reduce costs over time. Additionally, DeepSeek R1 is now available on Silatus, hosted in the United States, and can run locally on devices like the Pixel 8 Pro. DeepSeek R1 1.5b is also running locally on select devices.
