Elon Musk said on 24 July that X Corp. plans to revive Vine, the defunct short-form video service once owned by Twitter, “but in AI form.” He did not provide technical details or a launch timetable, but the comment signals an effort to fold new artificial-intelligence tools into a format that helped popularise looping, seconds-long clips. Vine debuted in 2013 and was shut down in 2017 after user growth stalled amid competition from Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok. Musk, who bought Twitter in 2022 and renamed it X, has run several user polls in recent years asking whether the platform should bring Vine back. A relaunch could broaden X’s push into video and intensify rivalry with TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

Vine in AI form is going to be Awesome! It might be as short as original Vine, 5 to 10 seconds perhaps with text to image, video and then apply audio https://t.co/mYd9Beacob
