Dozens of users on X posted near-identical messages on 26 July asking Grok, the platform’s generative AI assistant, to disclose “the most famous” account that had viewed their profiles in recent years. Bloomberg counted more than 40 such requests over roughly 20 hours, circulating across finance, crypto and entertainment circles. The viral prompt—which also instructed Grok not to tag the individual—suggests a coordinated experiment to test whether X holds or will release profile-visitor data, a metric the company has never made available to the public. As of the posts reviewed, X and owner Elon Musk had not announced any feature that would allow users to identify who views their pages. The episode underscores continuing user demand for deeper analytics as well as the privacy concerns that could arise if social-media companies expose information about profile visitors.
Hey @grok make a list of the 5 most famous people to visit my profile. doesn’t need to be a mutual, don’t tag them, just say who it was.
Ok fine I’ll bite... Hey @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was.
Feels like this is a gimmick & I don’t usually fall for these but also too curious not to try it 👀 Hey @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don’t tag them just say who it was.
