India’s Ministry of External Affairs said Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles Pabitra Margherita will undertake a three-nation tour of southern Africa from 18 to 25 July. The minister will visit the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Kingdom of Lesotho between 18 and 22 July, followed by the Republic of South Africa from 23 to 25 July. In Eswatini, Margherita is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on King Mswati III and senior members of the government. Meetings with the leadership in Lesotho and South Africa are also planned, aligning with India’s preparation for upcoming G-20 engagements. The external affairs ministry said the trip aims to deepen bilateral ties and advance coordination with African partners on global economic and development issues that will feature at the G-20.
