NASA's TRACERS (Tandem Reconnection and Cusp Electrodynamics Reconnaissance Satellites) mission, designed to study the interaction between the solar wind and Earth's magnetosphere, was initially scheduled to launch on July 22, 2025, from Vandenberg Space Force Base aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The launch included three additional small satellites serving as technology demonstrators. However, the launch was aborted at the last moment due to airspace concerns, prompting NASA and SpaceX to reschedule the mission for no earlier than 2:13 p.m. EDT on July 23, 2025. Meanwhile, another NASA mission, NISAR, is set to launch on July 30. Separately, a successful satellite launch by SpaceX occurred from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on the same day.
