A prominent outdoor staircase leading from Barcelona’s Park Güell on Avinguda del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya has been painted in the red, green, white and black colors of the Palestinian flag. The mural was completed over the weekend by local activists as an expression of solidarity with Palestinians amid the continuing war in Gaza. The initiative turns the tourist-frequented steps in the La Salut neighborhood into a visible political message at one of the city’s best-known landmarks.
